Leonard Mills is a Senior Advisor to The Oakleaf Group, LLC, with 30 years of experience in financial services and academia, including deep and broad mortgage industry expertise.
Len is the Founder and President of PI Analytics, which provides research, development, validation, and data analytics for a wide range of financial models, and encompasses registered investment advisory services. His career spans model validation, review and governance at Wells Fargo as a Senior Vice President, fund co-manager and Executive Managing Director at Equity Rock Capital Management, Director of CRE Debt Research and Risk Management at Property and Portfolio Research (COSTAR), CRO for Avenue Mortgage Corporation, and in the earlier part of his career, portfolio analytics, mortgage research and financial economics at Fannie Mae and Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
In addition to his financial services experience, Len has held adjunct faculty positions at Johns Hopkins University, George Washington University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Maryland, and Mount St Mary’s University.
Len holds a Ph.D. in Econometrics from Tulane University and a B.S. in Mathematics from Hampden-Sydney College. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, and holds a Certificate in Quantitative Finance.
